Shooting assessment is the most important part or total assessment process.UN SAAT members are very serious about this part.Police officers selected for this part have to show their highest skill here.SAAT members will conduct a briefing before they move for the test.Everything about shooting assessment will be cleared in the briefing.A candidate may ask for any clarification to SAAT member.A candidate will be provided with a 9mm pistol during the whole process. Whole shooting assessment will be divided into three parts:
Phase 1- Handling of weapon
In this phase, a candidate will be instructed to disassemble and reassemble a 9mm pistol within five minutes in a safe manner. Before you appear for this test you have to practice as much as you can to achieve the highest skill.Because if you fail to prove your ability to do this exercise within a given time in a safe manner will prohibit a candidate from proceeding with the remaining part of the Shooting assessment.
Phase 2- Shooting assessment-Part 1
In this part, a candidate has to shoot five round to the target from five-meter distance. The weapon under command of the host country firearms instructor will be holstered prior to and after each round is fired within five seconds.
Phase 3- Shooting assessment-Part 2
In this part, a candidate has to shoot five round to the target from seven-meter distance.Same rules same process as Phase 2- Shooting assessment-Part 1. A candidate has to hit to target 9 round out of total 10 round.
